Dexter Lawrence | DL Accounts

Dexter Lawrence CIMA DIP MA

Main roles – Director

I have been working in accounts for over 20 years. I started in ITT Industries Ltd before moving to the multi national company, Fitzgerald Lighting Ltd, which was also the biggest manufacturer in Cornwall. During my time there, I worked in the accounts department, which involved dealing with customers and suppliers as well completing bank reconciliations and preparing management accounts. In 2007 I decided to embark on a new challenge working for myself…

In 2014 we took the next step and incorporated the company. I have completed a CIMA Diploma in Management Accounts and am currently looking to complete my CIMA qualification to become fully Chartered as well as becoming a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians.

We are leaders in the new digital age and I really enjoy learning all of the new and exciting software that will help you to save time and money.

Laurel Higgins | DL Accounts

Laurel Higgins MAAT

Main roles – Accounts Manager

Laurel joined our team as an Accounts Assistant back in 2013. Laurel is currently studying for her ATT after successfully passing her AAT exams. Laurel is also certified with Xero, Quickbooks and Sage.

Laurel has recently become Accounts Manager and leads the rest of the team here at DL Accounts Ltd.

Laurel’s main responsibilities are preparing accounts and VAT returns as well as dealing with general enquiries.

Angela Wilkinson | DL Accounts

Angela Wilkinson BA(Hons), Dip HE, PGCM, PGCE

Main roles – Payroll Manager, GDPR Manager and PA

Angela has been our resident Blog writer since 2015, but joined the team full-time in September 2016. Angela has many roles in the business – Accounts Assistant, Marketing Manager, Office Coordinator and PA, GDPR manager and Payroll manager. Angela has a First Class degree in Business and Accounting, as well as Postgraduate qualifications and spent 11 years teaching Business, Economics and Accounting at GCSE, A Level and Degree level.
