Our Onboarding Process
In the event that you choose to onboard with our accountancy firm, we can get you up and running within a matter of days following the process below. Our onboarding process aims to ensures a smooth transition for you and your business without delay. We ask for full cooperation from clients onboarding at the start to make our job easier for you later!
Sign Up with DL Accounts (Week 1)
Firstly, you will need to sign your proposal accepting the services outlined. Once signed, and the direct debit mandate is in place, we will commence with onboarding.
Complete Your Onboarding Form (Week 1)
Once you have signed your proposal, you will be sent an onboarding form to fill out requesting the necessary key information about your business and yourself personally. In line with Anti Money Laundering Regulations, we will also ask for identification documentation and proof of address at this early stage before continuing. Provided that the anti-money laundering checks are successful, we will then begin the onboarding set up straightaway. We cannot proceed further until this step is completed by the client.
Apply for Agent Authorisation (Week 1-2)
Once your form has been completed, we will apply to be your agents for all applicable services required (such as Self Assessment, PAYE, VAT and Corporation Tax). Each has to be applied for separately and you will receive a time sensitive code by post to accept us or you will be given instructions on how to accept us through your government gateway.
Software Setup (Week 2-3)
We will set you up and send you invites to the relevant software on your chosen package (Xero, Dext, Dext Solo) followed by an email outlining key actions you need to complete and top tips on how to use the software effectively. If you have signed up for our Peace of Mind Package, we will also inform you who your allocated client manager is at this time. Your accounts client manager is who will primarily liaise with you directly regarding any bookeeping and accounting (however you will be contacted by others in the team for different matters).
Regular Check Ins (Weeks 4 - 8)
Your client manager will check you are comfortable using our software, go through any teething problems and questions and ascertain any logins required so that we have all the necessary information to do your bookkeeping and accounts smoothly moving forwards.
Onboarding Complete!
By 2 months, provided all information has been received, all your accounts should be smooth sailing. Then, we will still be at the end of a phone call for whenever you need any advice and support!
