DL Accounts Ltd was first established as Dexter Lawrence Accounts back in 2007.

We formally became DL Accounts Ltd in 2014, but we are still incredibly proud to be a local family run business.


As a result of the excellent service we provide, we have grown extensively and we now have a client base of over 60 companies and over 270 clients. You can view some of our clients by clicking on the Clients tab.

Our clients cover a variety of different industries and sectors from building, carpentry and plumbing to make-up artists, hospitality, martial arts, kennels, couriers, florists, lettings and more besides.


As a proud local business we also like to offer sponsorship to local clubs where we can. We are currently sponsoring Godolphin AFC First Team alongside Newquay Airport, as well as Roche and Nanpean football teams.


We are currently a team of four and pride ourselves on offering every client and business a personal service no matter the size or type. Our aim is to take the stress out of your accounts and administrative requirements whilst keeping it affordable for you, leaving you time to do what you do best!


Meet the Team



Dexter Lawrence CIMA DIP MA



I have been working in accounts for over 15 years. I started in ITT Industries Ltd before moving to the multi national company, Fitzgerald Lighting Ltd, which was also the biggest manufacturer in Cornwall. During my time there, I worked in the accounts department, which involved dealing with customers and suppliers as well completing bank reconciliations and preparing management accounts. In 2007 I decided to embark on a new challenge working for myself


During my time being self-employed, I have completed a CIMA Diploma in Management Accounts as well as becoming a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians.


Laurel Higgins AAT Level 3



As the business has gone from strength to strength, in 2013 Laurel joined our team as an Accounts Assistant. Laurel is currently studying for her AAT Level 4 Qualification, after successfully achieving Level 3.


Laurel’s main responsibilities are preparing accounts, VAT returns, payroll as well as dealing with general enquiries.


Siobhan Lawrence BA(Hons)



Siobhan is my wife and company secretary. She oversees all correspondence to and from the business as well as preparing accounts.


Siobhan works as a teacher in St Austell in addition to being a private tutor in English and Maths.


Angela Wilkinson BA(Hons), Dip HE, PGCM, PGCE

Angela has been our resident Blog writer for almost 18 months, but joined the team full-time in September 2016. Angela has many roles in the business – Accounts Assistant, Marketing Manager, Office Coordinator and PA. Angela has a First Class degree in Business and Accounting, as well as Postgraduate qualifications and has spent the last 11 years teaching Business, Economics and Accounting at GCSE, A Level and Degree level.
